The Atlanta Jews of Color Council's Sigd celebration, which AIC brought to its community a year after hosting its own Sigd programme.
The Atlanta Jews of Color Council marked Sigd, and AIC brought it to its own community.
Sigd falls fifty days after Yom Kippur and has been an Israeli state holiday since 2008. The year before, AIC had hosted its own Sigd programme with Naftali Aklum, explaining the holiday to people who had never heard of it. This one was AJOCC’s, and it was a celebration rather than an explanation.
