Terms of Use

Welcome to atlantaisrael.org, operated by the Atlanta Israel Coalition, Inc. (“AIC,” “we,” “us”). These Terms of Use govern your access to and use of the site.

Acceptance

By accessing or using atlantaisrael.org, you agree to these Terms of Use and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

Use of the site

You may use the site for lawful, personal, and community purposes. You agree not to:

• use the site in any way that breaks the law or infringes another person’s rights;
• attempt to gain unauthorized access to the site, its systems, or its data;
• interfere with or disrupt the site’s operation or security; or
• misrepresent your identity or affiliation when contacting us or registering for a program.

Intellectual property

The text, graphics, logos, and design on atlantaisrael.org are owned by AIC or used with permission, and are protected by intellectual-property law. You may view and share links to the site and its pages. You may not copy, republish, or redistribute substantial content for commercial purposes without AIC’s written permission. Third-party marks and quoted material remain the property of their respective owners.

Donations

Donations to AIC are voluntary gifts to a 501(c)(3) nonprofit and are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law. Payments are processed by a third-party payment provider under its own terms. If you believe a gift was made in error, contact us at the address below and we will work with you in good faith.

Memberships

You can join AIC on your own as a member, or bring your organization in as a partner or a sponsor. The Join AIC page lists every membership level, what it costs, and what it includes. Every level includes a Mitzpe Institute membership, the members’ side of mitzpe.org. Sign in there with the same email address you joined with. Your Mitzpe Institute membership lasts as long as your AIC membership does.

Paying monthly. A monthly membership renews every month until you cancel. We charge the card you joined with once a month and email you a receipt for every payment.

Paying yearly. When you pay yearly, you choose whether it renews. If you tick “Renew automatically each year,” we charge the card you joined with once a year until you cancel, and email you a receipt each time. If you don’t, it’s one payment for one year and it doesn’t renew. When the year is up, you can join again.

Partners. Partnership is free for congregations, schools, nonprofits, and civic groups. You apply on the Partner with Us page, and nothing is charged. AIC decides which applications to approve, and which partners appear on the partners page. We list an organization only if it tells us we may, and we look at every listing before it appears.

Sponsors. A business can sponsor AIC for a year, or sponsor one Israel Up Close talk, by paying by card on the Partner with Us page. The prices are on that page. Paying for the year works the way it does for members: one payment for a year, or renewing each year if you tick the box. Sponsoring a talk is one payment. AIC may decline a sponsorship; if we do, your payment is kept as a tax-deductible donation, and we’ll send you a receipt that says so. AIC also decides which sponsors appear on the site.

Cancelling. You can cancel anything that renews: a monthly membership, or a yearly membership or sponsorship set to renew. Email us at Shalom@atlantaisrael.org or reply to any receipt we’ve sent you. We’ll stop the next charge. You keep everything your membership includes, Mitzpe Institute included, through the end of the month or year you’ve already paid for. A yearly payment that doesn’t renew has nothing to cancel. It ends on its own after a year.

Refunds. If you think you were charged in error, or you want to ask about a refund, write to us at Shalom@atlantaisrael.org and we will work with you in good faith.

Taxes. AIC is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit. A membership gives you something back, so only part of what you pay is tax-deductible: the amount you pay, less the fair market value of what your level includes. That means the Mitzpe Institute membership and, at the higher levels, event admissions and briefings. The Join page shows the deductible figure for each level, and every membership receipt we email states it for that payment.

Changes to memberships. We may change what a level includes or what it costs. A payment you’ve already made keeps what it paid for. If a change would affect what we charge you each month or each quarter or each year, we’ll email you before it does, so you can cancel first if you want to.

Third-party links

The site links to third-party websites and services (for example, our payment processor, the newsletter platform, and partner organizations). AIC does not control those sites and is not responsible for their content, practices, or availability. Your use of a third-party site is governed by that site’s own terms and privacy policy.

Bookshop.org. AIC is a Bookshop.org affiliate. When you buy a book through one of our Bookshop.org links, for the Author’s Table, our book club, or in our posts and newsletters, AIC gets a share of the sale. You pay the same price either way. We say so next to those links wherever they appear.

Disclaimers

The site and its content are provided “as is” and “as available,” for general informational and community purposes. AIC works to keep the site accurate and current but does not warrant that it is error-free, complete, or uninterrupted. Nothing on the site is legal, financial, or professional advice.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, AIC is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the site. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

Changes

We may update these Terms as the site or our programs change. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above. Your continued use of the site after a change means you accept the updated Terms.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Georgia, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules.
