Dr. Elai Rettig on what a change of U.S. administration meant for Israel, for the normalization agreements, and for the Israeli-Palestinian question.

Speaker

  • Elai Rettig

Israel Institute Teaching Fellow, Washington University in St. Louis

Rettig researches energy politics, economics and foreign policy in Israel and the Middle East. He has been a visiting scholar at George Washington University's Institute for Security and Conflict Studies and a Neubauer fellow at the Institute for National Security Studies in Tel Aviv.

A new U.S. administration had just taken office and the Abraham Accords were six months old. Elai Rettig, who works on energy politics and foreign policy in the region, took the questions that follow from that: what shifts, what holds, and what the normalization agreements can carry.

St. Louis Friends of Israel and Kol Rinah convened it; AIC brought its community.
