The AIC Members’ Town Hall

One hour a year when the whole membership and the people running AIC are in the same room.

Cheryl and Uri say where AIC has got to and where it’s going, and then they answer what you ask. Free, and every member is in the room — whatever level you joined at.

The hour

An Hour, and Most of It Is Yours.

Once a year, every member, at every level, sits down with Cheryl and Uri.

  1. Step 1: The year, with the numbers

Cheryl opens with what AIC ran, what it cost, and what it reached. The programs that worked and the ones that didn’t both get named.

  2. Step 2: What’s coming

The missions, the talks, the advocacy work, and the campaigns we’re planning for the year ahead — members hear them here first.

  3. Step 3: Then you talk

Type your question in the Q&A and we work through them live.

  4. Step 4: Can’t be there?

Send your question to us beforehand and we’ll take it on the night. We record the hour and email members the link afterwards.

Questions

Who can come?

Every AIC member, at every one of the 3 levels. This is the one program with no tiers in it — a Member and a Leadership Circle are in the same room, with the same hour.

What does it cost?

What can I ask about?

Money, programs, the board, something we got wrong, something you want AIC to start doing. Cheryl and Uri answer in the room. If an answer needs looking up, we say so and come back to you.

Can I watch it later?

Yes. We record the hour and email members the link afterwards, so you can watch it in your own time. It stays with members — this one doesn’t go up on our Watch page.

Do I need a Teams account, or to download anything?

Not on a computer. Open the link from your email in Chrome or Microsoft Edge and choose to continue in the browser. You don’t need an account. On a phone or tablet you do need the Teams app, because Teams doesn’t run in a phone’s web browser. Install it, then tap the link again.

Will anyone see or hear me?

No. At our online talks and town halls, everyone watching joins with their camera and microphone off. You see and hear the speaker, and nobody sees or hears you.

When should I join the call?

About ten minutes early. We open the room ten minutes before we start, which gives you time to get in and turn your sound up. Running late? Come in anyway. You can rewind and watch from the beginning.

Are there captions?

Yes, live captions. Select Caption in the Teams window and choose a language, and they appear on screen.
